responsiveness的兩個層面

目前在responsiveness的部分
會再探討它的兩個層面:

(1) internal responsiveness: 內在反應性
主要是指一個評估工具,在經過一段預定時間後,能測量到變化的能力.
常用的一個方法:
在運用確定有療效的治療方法於臨床隨機試驗(RCT)的情況下,
某一個評估工具在個案治療一段時間後,能測量到個案分數改變的能力.
(2) external responsivness: 外在反應性
主要反映一個評估工具,在經過一段時間後所測得的變化量,
與另一個參考評估工具所測得的變化量的相關程度.
驗證external responsiveness的動機有兩個:
a. 如果所檢驗的評估工具的變化量,
與參考的評估工具(標準)的變化量有強烈相關,

就表示它與定為標準的評估工具有不相上下的反應性,

則這個評估工具就可用來取代參考的評估工具.
b. 參考評估工具的變化量可被視為代表病人情況改變的一個可接受指標
此處所說的可接受指標,即臨床上治療師認為有意義和重要的一個改變量.
所以,如果參考的評估工具能測得代表病人情況改變的改變量,
而我們所驗證的評估工具的改變量又與以上所提的改變量有關,
則代表我們所驗證的評估工具也能測到臨床上一個有意義的變化量.

目前會以b的觀點來進一步探討Balance CAT的external responsiveness,

感想...關於寫Balance CAT論文

寫Balance CAT論文
已經一個多月的時間了
一開始有些不適應
因為感覺跟不上老師的步調
之前有的心理計量概念不夠深刻
統計和SPSS也忘得差不多了
又是跟之前完全不同的領域
等於是重頭再來
加上又有心理計量課程和新任務的作業
心理的壓力是很大的
不過,
這樣的感覺在一個月後慢慢有些改變了
可能是適應老師帶領的方式了
自己也開始覺得獨立思考
的確能幫助自己想清楚一些東西
之後,學習變得比較不是負擔
而比較是一種"喔!原來是這樣啊!"的感覺
對於這樣的想法轉變
自己也覺得很有趣

10/20~10/27論文進度

1. results將著重在responsiveness和predictive validity的部分
-會進一步閱讀關於"internal responsiveness"和"external responsiveness"的文獻:
Husted JA, Cook RJ, Farewell VT, Gladman DD. Methods for assessing responsiveness: a critical review and recommedations. J Clinical Epi. 2000; 53: 459-68.
希望能更清楚了解responsiveness,再針對結果做探討.
-responsiveness的定義澄清: the ability of an intrument to detect change over time in the construct to be measured. 是指在評估工具所測量的概念下,能反應分數變化的能力.
2. 持續寫Introduction的細節.
3. 完成Discussion的Outline.

some questions about criteria for subject recruiting

刪去mixed type個案後
新的結果已經出來了
但是在收案標準的部份
仍有要確定的地方:
(1) number of stroke onset是否要控制為first onset
-目前有76位個案是first onset,9位個案是recurrent (second time)
(2) period of onset to interview是否要控制在兩個月內
-目前range為5-79天,若要控制在兩個月內,則有2名個案不符標準

"Results" almost done

這一兩天已經把missing data和診斷的統計分析跑完了,
目前還要確定其中一個診斷是mixed type的個案要不要收進去
Methods的部份也陸續修改中
下星期三早上會和老師討論相關事宜
