Q: 若將目前入院428筆資料與之前301筆資料合併分析，是否會有收案時間不同(428筆是入院3天左右,301筆是發病2星期左右)之問題?
目前我的想法是: 若之前的301筆資料成常態分布，跟現在的428筆資料(常態分布)合併應該也是常態分布。兩筆資料都是亞急性的中風個案，onset應該不超過3個月（還須確認正確的時間)，我們的評估大抵是在這段時間完成。這樣看來，似乎個案的特徵還算相近， 應該可以合併分析。

Title:
Validating and improving the test reliability of the motor and balance subscales in the Fugl-Meyer assessment scale for patients with stroke
Background and purpose:
The motor (upper extremity and lower extremity) and balance subscales of the Fugl-Meyer assessment scale (FM and FMB) are commonly used to evaluate motor and balance function in patients with stroke. These scales have shown sufficient reliability, validity and responsiveness in patients with stroke. The original 50-item FM has been analyzed using multidimentional Rasch analysis and formed a calibrated item bank (37 items) for evaluating motor function in patients with stroke. However, whether the FMB constitues a single contruct for evaluating balance function has not been justified. In addtion, it is not clear whether the combination of the 37-item FM and the calibrated FMB improves the test reliability of these scales. The purpose of this study was to investigate the construct validity of the FMB using unidimentinal Rasch analysis. Moreover, we used multidimentional Rasch analysis to improve the test reliability of the 37-item FM and the calibrated FMB.

Plan for writing an IRT paper (renew)
題目改為: Validating and improving reliability of the balance subscale of the Fugl-Meyer assessment for patients with stroke
之前只有用unidimentional Rasch analysis分析FM的balance subscale，
現在需再加上motor部分的37題(calibrated), 以multidimentional Rasch analysis分析，
以提升balance subscale的信度(精準度)。
目前已向業太詢問固定參數的ConQuest語法,
需再找時間分析一下合併FM上下肢37題及balance 5題的資料。
將陸續補充 purpose and rationale of study。

關於中風後疼痛
寫中風後疼痛論文時看了相關的文獻，
查到了有一種中風後的疼痛叫做「中樞性中風後疼痛 」(central poststroke pain)，
這個中文名稱是在一位退休的大學教授部落格查到的：

每個人的感覺不同，所以描述疼痛的語詞也不同。
疼痛的程度或許可以量化，

疼痛論文討論部分修改重點
1. 多閱讀model papers把概念釐清：單變項分析及多變項分析的區別，及該如何綜合/彙整單變項/多變項分析結果。寫完後先與姿誼和Jenny討論寫作內容，再跟老師確認。
2. 各段主題句應先把重點提出。論述也盡量避免模擬兩可或反覆，如第一段論點應改成: 雖過去研究呈現疼痛與HRQOL的關聯程度有高低之不同，但皆呈現顯著相關。
3. 研究限制可增加:疼痛種類與HRQOL關聯討論不足。中文論文可把知道的限制都寫出來，讓讀者清楚了解。

Future Research: Relationship of Balance, Attention, and Fall in Patients with Stroke
目前找了一些文獻,
想要了解一下中風病人平衡能力/注意力與跌倒的關係。。。
跟跌倒比較有關的注意力缺陷在於: sustain, selective, and divided attention~
未來的研究方向（博班及博後)：
未來希望能夠接續中風病人平衡評量方面的研究，並探究注意力方面的評量。
注意力方面，可能先從modify目前現有的注意力評量開始，
就幾個特定的注意力domain（sustain, selective, divided attention)評量修改。
目前用於中風個案的注意力評估工具有: TEA, SDMT...
然後試看看是否可增加新的題目，之後再試看看是否可和Balance CAT的題庫結合，
或許可進一步提供臨床人員一個index，用來預測p't是否容易跌倒。。。
未來如果有機會也想把Balance CAT用到小兒的研究，
modify題目後可用來評估/探究DCD/ADHD兒童的平衡能力。。。
結合coordination/attention的評估，可用來找出"DAMP" (Deficits in attention, motor control and perception)這群個案。

關於統計的學習
統計學是從事量化研究的基礎科學
這是今天google "SEM"時看到的某個統計諮詢中心部落格，
寫的內容以及所呈現的圖片(上圖)吸引了我~
自己目前應該就要如部落格中所說的，
穩扎穩打的學習統計和研究方法，
在統計方面，有些基礎的統計學概念要先弄清楚，
再依自己需求進一步學習進階統計~

5. (1) Rationale of study: The intra-rater and inter-rater reliability of the Balance CAT in patients with stroke have not been examined. This shortcoming limits this measure to be used with confidence to assess the balance function of patients with stroke over time and across settings. Moreover, the unknown MDC of the Balance CAT limits the interpretation of the change in scores in an individual patient. (2) Purpose of study: To examine the intra-rater and inter-rater reliability and MDC of the Balance CAT in patients with stroke.

關於Balance CAT信度研究
這個暑假就要將Balance CAT信度研究告一段落了~
在修改HBSF MDC論文的同時，
也打算開始撰寫Balance CAT信度相關的論文，
題目暫定: Reliability and Minimal Detacable Change of the Balance Computerized Adaptive Test in Patients with Stroke。
這一篇論文，應該是目前手上研究的最後一篇了~
寫中風相關評估工具心理計量特性論文也快兩年了，
原本以為自己做不到，之前走小兒領域的我，
因為想作CAT相關的研究，一路走到現在~
收案和寫論文，這兩年來過得還算蠻充實的~
